June 2005, something of a break, a chance to get away from it all. It was something proprietor of Interactive Productions, Bassem Abousaid had always wanted to do, go to a Live Big Brother eviction.

Knowing that he had some time coming up whereby he would be on the Gold Coast, a few calls were made, and a double pass was arranged through Channel 10 in Melbourne as this would be covered for radio.

So onwards to Dreamworld where it was a cold, miserable wet weather night, absolutely bucketing down with rain, looking at the line of people waiting patiently in the rain a decision was almost made to turn back. However the details of how & where to pick up the pass, a short walk down to Security Gate 1 and there the pass was, and the line in the rain was bypassed, and the seats were uncover - Success!

After a credit card denting journey to the Big Brother official store, it was almost time for the show, warm up man Mike Goldman kept the crowd entertained, even handing out some Big Brother umbrellas as prizes to the brave souls on the rain exposed grass area right at the back.

7:30pm arrived very quickly and before we knew it we were clapping along with the theme of Big Brother for the opening of the show. Viewers voted to evict the worst HM ever - Rachael. Surprisingly only 47% of the vote went to her with Geneva receiving 42% and Christie 11%.

After it was all said and done and Rachel got her brand new Hyundai Elantra (not a bad vehicle if I do say so myself), another trip to the Big Brother merchandise store for more goodies. A big thanks to the girls at Network Ten publicity down in Melbourne for a fantastic experience!
